Living at the IBZ Berlin
Prices and offers
All apartments have their own fully equipped kitchen. The one-room apartments have a pantry kitchen integrated into the room. If more space is required for cooking, shared kitchens are also available. Our kitchens are always equipped with cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery, toaster, kettle and, on request, a microwave (50€ deposit). Bed linen, iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner are provided free of charge. Televisions can be rented for a deposit of 100€. If required, we offer our guests a cellar compartment.
A parking space in the underground garage is available by prior arrangement and for a fee. The laundry café with modern washing machines and dryers can be used by residents with card payment.
The Montessori kindergarten at the IBZ is happy to accept children of IBZ Berlin residents, depending on availability.
OUR RENTAL CONDITIONS AT IBZ BERLIN
All rents are all-inclusive prices and include fully furnished and equipped apartments including all utilities, internet access via the eduroam network and use of communal kitchens, library, fitness, table tennis and billiard room, as well as club room, large garden and large hall.
The costs for final cleaning and linen hire are charged as required.
The maximum rental period for our apartments is 2 years.
In order to apply, you must have a research or teaching position at a Berlin college, university or research institution.

The IBZ Berlin is a non-profit organization for international scientific exchange. We therefore ask our guests to actively participate in scientific, cultural and political exchange, for example through lectures, exhibitions, working groups or concerts.
ADDITIONAL ACCOMMODATION IN ADLERSHOF
If the IBZ Berlin in Wilmersdorf cannot offer free space for visiting scholars, the Adlershof Student Village may have free one- and two-room apartments in an academic guest house (IBZ).
The guest house in Adlershof can be easily reached by public transport and is located directly on the Humboldt University campus. The 30 furnished and modern apartments have a pantry kitchen, are connected to the university's high-speed data network and comfortably accomodate two people and a small child.
